Galen Work, OIT
The Dell account reps have changed again. Details may be found on the FindTech site.
The updated PC Cycle bids are on the FindTech site.
Apple is not part of the PC Cycle this time around, you'll get better pricing going to the Apple site that is linked from
the "institutional purchases" page on the FindTech site.
RSS feeds are being added to the FindTech page for announcements.
HP is redoing their online stores. We'll hopefully see some improvements.
Ed Humphrey, CSS
A pilot for Exchange 2007 will begin on Monday. It will be run by the Camden CSS staff. A sign-up page will be available for
people who want to volunteer. Participants will be expected to use it as their main email/calendar system so they can
provide feedback. The pilot is expected to conclude in late January.
Bruce Rights, IPS
In response to a request for feedback on desired security training, IPS will offer a class on "Introduction to Computer
Forensics". It will be held in a new training facility that IPS has put together on Thursday, November 29 (future classes
will be scheduled if demain is high enough). Seating is limited, email rusecure@rutgers.edu if interested. Class details
can be seen here.
SANS has offered a deal on a videoconferenced class - "Web Application Security". For 10 people per videoconferenece location,
they'll offer the class at $500 per person instead of the usual $2,300. The dates are December 18-19. Email

Eric Marshall, OIRT
Wednesday, 11/14, OIRT will be hosting another "Game Night" (at their offices) to show the serious side of games in instruction.
Friday, 11/16, OIRT will be hosting a meeting at their offices on the subject of a potential University-wide wiki service.
It will also be videoconferenced to Camden, BSB 231. Email oirt@rutgers.edu if interested in attending.
OIRT is located in ASB Annex I, room 101.

Deploying Vista with the AIK
Seth Gannon, MSSG
Seth did a demonstration showing how to use the Windows Automated Install Kit to deploy Vista. The AIK can be found on the
University Software Portal in the Campus
Agreement section.
Remote Computer Support with BOMGAR
Tim DiVito, Camden Law
Tim gave a presentation on how the Camden Law School has begun doing remote support of their end users by deploying a device
by BOMGAR. It is an appliance that provides multi-platform support for
remote control of desktops. Their appliance has room to add additional licenses. If anyone is interested, they may contact
Tim DiVito.
