Adrienne Geralds, TD
The traffic graphs normally found on the TD website are currenlty offline. Some problems were found with specific devices. Working graphs should be back online shortly.
There are two new documents on the TD website regarding recent updates. They can be found at http://www.td.rutgers.edu/documentation/Papers/.
A switch management tool is still under development.

Galen Work, OIT
The PC Cycle for the fall is in progress. Bid reviews should be completed this week. New models and pricing will hopefully be posted next week.

Reps from Cisco will be a doing a presentation on "Best Practices for Managing Security and Compliance" after the meeting.

Zimbra Demonstration

Zimbra is a commercial product built on open source components (Apache, AJAX, etc). The open source/free versions tend to be lacking some features, so working with the "Network Professional Edition". Connectors are available for Outlook, Evolution, and Palm. Blackberry use would require purchase of a BES server. For iPhone, since the iPhone calendar doesn't sync with anything, Zimbra developed a small web interface for iPhone and other mobile devices. The Zimbra "client" for offline use is essentially a small server running on your local system which allows continued use of the web interface pointing to the local server which syncs with main server when network connectivity is available.

Last week a message was sent out about signing up for the pilot. Since there are a limited number of licenses available, not all volunteers will be selected. Those selected will have their accounts activated in the next week. The formal pilot will last two months.
