Video Conferencing

The use of video conferencing has been continually growing, and looks to continue in that direction. There are several resources available for setting up video conferencing on campus.

• Rutgers Continuous Education and Outreach Academic Video Services is a good place to start. In addition to general video conferencing information, you can also reserve time in available rooms on campus equipped with video conferencing equipment. There is also information on streaming video services and the Rutgers television production studio.
• The Office of Instructional and Research Technology has a "Video Conferencing at Rutgers" resource page. Here you will also find information on the state-wide video conferencing coordination by NJEdge.net.
• The OIT Telecommunications Division has a number of technical documents related to video conferencing available on their documentation page.
• There is a "video admins" mailing list available for the discussion of video issues at the University. See the email lists page for information on subscribing.

Other Video Services

• RU-TV - Rutgers' campus cable television network.
• Audio and video streaming services - provided by the Department of Continuing Education and Outreach (DCEO).
• Streaming media hosting - provided by Camden Computing Services.
• Streaming media hosting - provided by Newark Computing Services.
• The "i-TV Studio" - professional, broadcast quality television production studio services provided to the University by DCEO.
• Digital Media Lab - located on the Busch Campus and managed by New Brunswick Computing Services, has facilities for advanced multimedia applications.
